Scrim Reinforced (Supported) Felts

During the needlepunch process, Albarrie can incorporate a woven (scrim) layer into the construction of the fabric to impart added physical properties that would otherwise be impossible to attain through needlepunching alone.  These scrim reinforced fabrics typically have added tensile strength, enhanced puncture resistance and less stretch than their unsupported counterparts. Common applications for “supported” felts would include belting materials and filtration fabrics where there may be the potential for stretch, puncture or deformation of the fabric in use.

Roller covers used as fitted covers for conveying rollers, and as gasket material

Seamless Tubular Felts

Using a unique spiral needlepunch process, Albarrie can produce seamless felt tubes in diameters ranging from 33mm to 127mm with wall thicknesses from 4mm to 10mm.  Typically used as fitted covers for conveying rollers these seamless felt tubes can also be used for lubricating or absorbing excess fluids or cut into thin sections for use as gasket material.

Albarrie has in-house coating and finishing capabilities to produce truly unique fabric combinations to meet your specific application requirements.
